II.1.1) Title: Specialist Electronic Patient Record System for Integrated Urgent Care Service

a)“IUCS: DHC has been commissioned to provide a county-wide integrated urgent care service which is also a nationally mandated service with a national specification and NHS Pathways requirements. IUC is made up of 111, CAS, mobile visiting and treatment centres. Within the Dorset service there is also SpoA and night nursing as a part of the visiting service. Additionally DHC is commissioned to provide MIUs/ UTCs which also from part of the Urgent Care pathway and whom work in an integrated way with IUC services, in particular the CAS.
b)PACS: The need to procure an alternative clinical system is primarily driven by the national requirement for all providers to be using PaCCs (Pathways Clinical Consultation Support).
c)The secondary driver, is to have an integrated offer that works across all elements of the IUC pathway, supporting an integrated workforce and effective working and reporting of activity.
This includes integration with key IM&T systems such as ICE, lab systems and x-rays/ imaging.
d)This is a large and complex initiative comprising a number of key related services. This includes revising work processes and major service design work to establish a unified organisation providing high quality services.
e)Currently the service has 12 TPP SystmOne units of at least 4 different module types. Each one has been configured locally with no consistency or over-arching plan as the implementations were not linked at the time and pre-dated the formation of the IUCS.
f)The Trust currently utilises SystmOne supplied by TPP as its primary electronic patient system for physical health. It is proposed initially that in the interim the new system will work with and complement existing SystmOne modules.”
DHC will look to hold pre-market engagement towards end of October/early November 2022. Date and time to be confirmed.
